Clinique d’orthophonie sociale de Québec
Presentation of the enterprise
The need for speech therapy services is growing every year in québec. Many clienteles go without treatment, either private or public. In this context, the clinique d’orthophonie sociale plans to position itself in the intermediate zone, between public care and private services. As a not-for-profit social economy enterprise, the clinique makes its services available to the community and invites the public to support its mission and become involved in the organization.
The clinic provides low-cost speech therapy services to a clientele that is not being served by the public system. It makes speech therapy services accessible to vulnerable clientele who are unable to pay for private services.
“RISQ gave us the confidence to start up our enterprise and security in the medium term that no other institution was offering us. And, the rigourous application process meant that we had to better plan our startup. It is rare to find a partner with a genuine comprehension of the social economy.”
