L’euguélionne, feminist bookstore
Presentation of the enterprise
L’Euguélionne, librairie féministe, is a solidarity cooperative that opened its doors on December 15, 2016. The bookstore is a space for the dissemination of feminist ideas; it provides a wide selection of new and used books and hosts diverse literary and feminist events. It specializes in the sale and promotion of women’s literature, and feminist and LGBTQ, anti-racist, and anti-imperialist writing.
“Propelled by the values of equality and solidarity, its mission is to promote women’s literature, and make up for the lack, in Montréal and elsewhere in Québec, of specifically feminist meeting and dissemination spaces. As a space for sharing and learning, the bookstore and its six booksellers seek to make it accessible in every way.”
