Presentation of the enterprise
In operation since October 2015, the Carrefour musical uses music as the means of working with children and youth in the Place St-Martin social housing complex, in Laval. Their mission is to enhance the practice of community workers through the collective teaching of music. In fact, these actors joined forces to initiate the Carrefour musical project, having decided on the usefulness of music as an intervention tool.
The values promoted by the Carrefour musical are equity, solidarity, openness to difference, collective commitment and perseverance, and FUN!
“RISQ’s loan enabled us to conduct a feasibility study on the development of a social economy component for carrefour musical, which gave us a better picture of all our development possibilities. The feasibility study process was an opportunity to learn about the ecosystem in which we are developing, and target the most productive ways to carry out the mission of carrefour musical.”
