Presentation of the enterprise
Founded in the 1970s in the bucolic setting of St-Fabien, COOP alina is recognized today as a leading force in healthy eating and is the largest health food store in eastern Québec. It is one of the oldest health food stores in Québec, with over 8,200 members.
The mission of the alina cooperative is to provide the people of rimouski with access to a vast selection of organic and natural products, including food, health, and personal care products.
“Based on a total investment of $1.5 million in 2015, RISQ made helped us actualize a development project that had been on the shelf for years — the complete renovation of our sales areas and improvement of work spaces, equipment renewal, property acquisition, and improved member services (organic bulk food, ready-to-eat).”
